CARRIE FRIEDMAN was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1977. Her childhood and teen years crawled by in a series of orthodontic nightmares and horrendous haircuts. She danced ballet semi-professionally for several years and, like most of the men she danced with, is a die-hard Brett Favre fan. Unlike most of the men she danced with, she knows what sport he plays and wishes he'd retired three years ago. She was recruited to Boston College for track, but quit the team after a semester in order to devote more time to smoking. She graduated from BC with honors in English and swept the writing awards. After a summer at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and a job at a publishing firm in London, she moved out to sunny Los Angeles. For six years, she was an assistant to many brilliant TV writers and producers, all the while writing novels (of which she now has three) and screenplays (of which she now has ten). She's been nicotine-free for three years and recently won as a contestant on TV's Family Feud. When Carrie's not writing, she's infantilizing her dogs and referring to herself in the third person. She lives with her husband and two pups, Bowie and Delilah. |
